Ask Lazyweb: Laser Printer Manila Folders

At one point, long long ago, I had these awesome file folders. They came in two parts, with an adhesive strip. They were 11 pt cardstock (standard manila folders). The gimmick was that you could feed one half through your laser printer, coming up with custom folders (I used them to create a form on the inside of the folders), and then adhere this newly-created sheet to the back half of the folder, and you’d have a nifty unique manila folder.

I cannot for the life of me remember who made them, nor has my Google/Amazon-fu turned up anything useful.

Does anyone remember these? Did I hallucinate the whole thing? Anyone with better Google-fu want to give it a shot?

(Still not king.)

PSA: Shopping Deal of the Day

Amazon’s Gold Box Deal of the Day is a Scotch Thermal Laminator. I’ve had this laminator for a couple of years, and it works fantastically, especially for the deal price ($16.99). It will even handle 5 mil pouches, though you have to make sure you have it on the high setting for that. If you need a hot laminator, I highly recommend you pick this one up today.

Behold! A new pen!

Well, nothing to behold yet, as I haven’t done anything with it yet. But I have one, dagnabit.

Zebra, the makers of the venerable F-301 ballpoint pens has come out with a fountain pen. The pen, available in black or blue, doesn’t have great reviews on Amazon. I’m not sure how much of this is from people simply not being used to fountain pens, and how much of it is from the product actually being shoddy. But, I saw one at the drug store today, and decided to give it a shot. I shall report back when I have impressions to share.
