Tab Closing (2012.10.03)

Wanting to close a spare browser window I have kicking around, so have some tabs that I’ve kept open for a while.

  • A very cute little lace baby sweater. And I swear that all these links won’t be knitting links. Really.
  • One of my very favorite performance groups, The Reduced Shakespeare Company, is coming to Reston in November. If anyone’s looking for a great gift idea for me, a pair of tickets to the Wednesday night show would be fabulous. 😉
  • An Instructables guide to creating your first iOS app.
  • A neat postcard exchange community.
  • Knitting patterns for babies. And this is the last knitting-related link in this post. And no, my links about little baby clothes doesn’t mean that there’s a baby in my future. Rather, it means that baby clothes are fun to knit, because they go very quickly, and poof, you have a finished product!
  • A transcript comparing Bill Clinton’s prepared speech to what was actually said at the DNC. A fascinating look at extemporaneous oratory.
  • I had a problem with the home button on my iPhone not working. Since the home button is pretty important, this was problematic. G dug up this article which helped me out a bit.
  • A Conversation with Randall Munroe, the Creator of XKCD. If you’re a geek, and you don’t know what xkcd is, I’m not entirely sure how we know each other. If you’re not a geek, you probably haven’t encountered much xkcd except through the geeks in your life. Either way, you might wanna give it a try. (Make sure you check out the alt text for the images. If you’re using a mobile device, use this URL instead, so you can get the alt text.)
